Paresh Thakker on River Crossing

Hi, I am

Paresh Thakker

and I love adventurous trips across India.  I have a bunch of cool buddies and together we have lots of fun during our short vacations. Gives the much needed rejuvenation to carry on our businesses and corporate jobs with full of energy and enthusiasm. The idea of writing in this blog is to publish adventurous trips by me and bunch of buddies.

Today I begin with

River Crossing

. As the name suggests the basic motive is to cross the river with by monkey crawling. A rope is tied at either banks of the river and the participant is to crawl over the rope in order to reach the other side. The activist is provided with adequate safety gear. This activity is regularly followed by the armed forces during the course of their training. Balance is the key to this activity.

River Crossing

can be dangerous activity if professional trainer is not with you or there been recent heavy rain. Only Adventurous people can go ahead and try out these sports. Popular areas which involve river crossings include Bhang and Aleo. River Crossing used be a mandatory training for combat soldiers .The purpose of any river crossing is to project combat power across a water obstacle to accomplish a mission. A river crossing is a unique operation. It requires specific procedures for success because the water obstacle prevents normal ground maneuver. It also requires detailed planning and control measures and different technical support than other tactical operations require. The nature and size of the obstacle, the enemy situation, and available crossing assets limit the tactical commander's options. We have a few snaps here taken during our trips. We do not have video to upload here though we have found an interesting video posted by someone on river crossing. It helps to actually see how adventurous the great game of river crossing is.
